About The Clinic The Cognition Clinic was founded in 2018 with the intention of providing assessments and therapy to adults with ADHD. The clinic continues to specialize in ADHD, but also offers assessments for learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, or for anyone interested in understanding their cognitive functioning. The team at the clinic also provides therapy services for a variety of difficulties. The Team Hilary Duncan Founder Hilary Duncan (Owner) is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist certified with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. She received her PhD from the Clinical and Research Psychology program at Concordia University and completed her internship at the McGill University Health Centre. Hilary’s diverse clinical training experiences include working in the Jewish General Hospital Memory Clinic, a neurorehabilitation clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, the OCD and ADHD clinics at the Allan Memorial Institute, and at several private clinics (Blake Psychology, Neurotherapy Montreal, and the Canadian Institute for Obsessive Compulsive Disorders). Her clinical focus and interests include working with ADHD, health disorders (chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia), concussion, and OCD. Notably, at Toronto’s Workhorse Health, she partnered closely with the CEO to establish a learners’ program. Alexandra has also contributed to therapeutic riding programs, ensuring safe and engaging experiences for children and adults facing mental and physical challenges. With a keen interest in healthcare, she aims to pursue further education and make significant contributions to the field. Sana Rehan Therapist & PhD Student Sana Rehan Therapist & PhD Student Sana Rehan is a Ph.D. Candidate in Clinical Psychology fat Concordia University and is completing her dissertation on the links between sensory, psychosocial, and cognitive function in older adults with (or at risk for ) Alzheimer’s disease. Thus far, Sana has received training in neuropsychological assessments in a variety of location in Montreal, including the Jewish General Hospital and the Allan Memorial Institute. She has also received training in therapy and clinical intervention at in-house university clinics and community centres. Laurence Lai Therapist & PhD Student Laurence Lai Therapist & PhD Student Laurence Lai (Therapist & PhD Student) is a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Concordia University. His research focus is on the effect of aging on the relationship between executive functions and balancing behaviours. He fulfilled his clinical training requirement in the summer of 2022, completing his full pre-doctoral internship at the neuropsychology unit at the Allan Memorial Institute and the memory clinic at the Jewish General Hospital. He has extensive experience in the neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis of various neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g. attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, etc.), as well as other acquired conditions (e.g. traumatic brain injury, psychosis disorder, neurodegenerative disorder). He is a student member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec.
